Get To Know Your Backyard (PDF) was created by Grace Stroman as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award. The guide is also available at the Town Clerk's counter in Town Hall ($5).

The maps and apps below were created by the Town of Reading GIS division. New trail maps are developed under the guidance of the Trails Committee. See the GIS Map Library for other Reading maps. Aberjona River Headwaters Trail (PDF)

Aberjona River Headwaters Trail (11 inches by 8.5 inches)

The trail from Lowell Street to Willow Street through the Maillet Conservation Area was improved in 2019.  A newer trail connects from the Aberjona River to Hunt Street.  The newer portions of the trail, including two bridges and a two boardwalks, were funded by a 2018 Massachusetts DCR Recreation Trails Grant.
