National Safe Toys and Gifts Month
During the month of December we encourage everyone to consider if the toys you are purchasing are age suited, especially for infants and children under age three.
What to look out for:
Inspect toys before purchasing especially for those younger. Check for sharp edges and small pieces that could come off and be a choking hazard.
Check for labels that specify that toys have passed the safety inspection (ATSM)
Make sure the toys don’t include Lead. Make sure to educate yourself about Lead exposure
If you are giving crayons, markers, etc. make sure they specify nontoxic.
