Due to the impending storm, rubbish & recycling collections delayed one day this week

Trash collection delayed

READING, MA - Residents are advised that JRM, the Town’s contracted trash hauler, has postponed curbside rubbish and recycling collection this week due to the forecasted storm for Tuesday, March 13. Tuesday’s collection will be Wednesday, Wednesday’s collection will be Thursday, and so on.

The Town will not conduct curbside branch pick up following these storms. DPW crews continue to clean up the town from fallen limbs and will move again into snow and ice operations with the upcoming storm. Fallen trees and limbs on private property are not the Town’s responsibility and will not be picked up. However, the Compost Center will be opened temporarily later this week for residents to drop off tree and limb debris from the winter storms at no charge. Exact opening details will be announced after Tuesday’s storm.
