Reading Resident Permit
A Reading Resident Parking Permit is required at certain times at The Reading Train Depot and other streets located in the downtown business district.
All Reading Resident Parking regulations are Monday-Friday from 6:00am- 9:30am. Resident Permit Parking is indicted on the Parking Map color coded in red.
Permits are $150 per calendar year. Residents who have more than one vehicle registered to the same address may secure ONE additional Reading Community Access sticker only, for an additional cost of $25.00.
Purchasing a Reading Resident Permit will also give you access to the compost center at no additional cost.

* Valid MA Driver's License and Vehicle Registration required. If those documents do not indicate a Reading address a current Utility/Tax Bill is required for proof of residency

Overnight Parking:
There is no overnight parking allowed in all Municipal Parking Lots year-round. No overnight on-street parking during the winter season, as determined by the Chief of Police.
*Exception to the overnight parking regulation shall permit 35 spaces in the Southern Enclosed Depot lot on the Lincoln Street Side. Vehicles must have a Reading Parking Sticker. During snow emergencies all vehicles must be moved out of the lot by 6:00 am. All parking shall be prohibited from 6:00am- 9:00am in this lot to allow for snow removal.
