Walk Reading Weekend
May 30 – May 31
Walk, bike, hike or run and explore your town!
Get outside and move on the weekend of May 30 - May 31. Wear something red and step out of your door to enjoy and explore Reading by foot or bike. Then, tally your miles and report your travels on Walkable Reading's Facebook page. Let's see how many miles we can collectively walk! Please log your miles on the Walkable Reading Facebook page or email your mileage (see links at the bottom of the page).
The simple act of putting one foot in front of the other makes you healthier, gives you more energy, and makes you stronger. Plus, walking lets you spend time with friends, think through problems, and see what's new in your neighborhood. Get the kids outdoors, walk to the nearest park of conservation area, go around the block, or run through the Town Forest. Any distance will do! Create your own route or join one of the events below.
Please carry along a trash bag and pick up some litter if you are able.
