The Town of Reading Water Distribution system since its conception has and will remain 100% managed by the Town. The Town’s water Department is responsible for all aspects associated with the operation and maintenance of the water system. Such duties include all repairs, and construction done to the distribution system, including water services to individual properties.
If a property is in need of a new water service or a renewal of an old service the Town will perform the work, billing only time and materials. Under no circumstances shall anyone other than the Town of Reading Water Department do any work on the Town’s water system.
The following applications are for both new services and water renewals. Please note that all applications have to be hand delivered to the Engineering Office located in the Town Hall on the lower level. All services will be done in the order in which they are received.
