The Town of Reading is working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) on the development of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. This plan focuses on identifying short-term and low-cost improvements for bicycle and pedestrian facilities/amenities. The plan has been reviewed by Town Staff, including the Parking, Traffic, Transportation Taskforce (PTTTF). In addition, a Working Session was held with stakeholders on April 24th and additional feedback was sought at an Open House on June 9th. The Community Planning and Development Commission (CPDC) also reviewed the draft plan and voted unanimously to recommend the Board of Selectmen Adopt the Draft Plan.
MAPC will be presenting the final draft plan to the Board of Selectman on July 29th for consideration and adoption.
