Building Facade and Signage Improvement Program 2013
The Reading Economic Development Committee (EDC) in conjunction with the Community Services Department is happy to announce the Building Facade and Signage Improvement Program has returned for 2013.
This program offers financial assistance to property owners and business owners seeking to improve their building facade, signage and exterior lighting.
The program is part of the EDC’s ongoing efforts to help revitalize our downtown and gateway areas. The programs objectives include:
- Enhance the physical appearance of the building’s facade and the overall streetscape
- Install and/or update signage and lighting
- Contribute to the overall appeal of the downtown and gateways creating “curb appeal”
- Drive continued economic commerce to individual stores in the downtown and gateways
Last year’s program helped fund the installation of blade signs, awnings and window boxes around downtown.
