All Night Parking Ban
Town of Reading's All Night Parking Ban

Pursuant to Article five, section 5.9 (p.10) of the most current Reading Traffic Rules and Regulations (01/23/01) :


It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than one acting in an emergency, to park said vehicle on any street between the hours of 1:00am and 6:00am.

This parking ban will remain in effect from November 1 to April 1 - Annually.  


The Reading Police Department will provide it's residents with a two week "education grace period."  During this period, warning cards will be placed on the vehicles of violators.  Money fines will commence on November 15, 2008 and will be strictly enforced until April 1, 2009.


The Reading Police Department can issue fines for all night parking violations throughout the year.  It is enforced throughout the Winter Season to ensure expedient snow removal and safe roads.  The Police Department will issue fines during any snow emergency, regardless of the date.
