Reading Depot Area Permit Parking:
Parking in and around certain areas of the Reading Depot will be authorized by permit only. Permits will be required from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Weekend, evening and holiday parking are not affected. Signs are posted on "on street" and "off street" parking areas as "Resident Permit Parking Only".
Resident permit stickers are distributed to residents at the Reading Police station at any time, day or night. Resident stickers are issued on an annual basis. Residents who wish to obtain a sticker must bring their driver's license and the registration for the vehicle to which the sticker will be attached, both showing the same Reading address. Parking stickers will only be issued to the vehicle owner(s). Those residents who are leasing their vehicles must also bring in their lease agreement.
Permit stickers are NOT transferable to any other vehicle. If a vehicle is sold, the sticker MUST be removed and the old sticker may be submitted to the Reading Police Department. A new sticker will then be issued at no additional cost for the period that the old sticker applies. No person shall sell, offer for sale to another person, alter a sticker or affix the sticker to a vehicle other than for the one issued. Violation will result in revocation of the sticker and parking privileges, and may be prosecuted according to law.
Handicapped parking will be permitted in designated spaces with a State Handicapped Parking Permit, and no Resident parking sticker will be required.
Purchase of permit stickers DOES NOT guarantee a parking space at the Depot.
