Walkers

The outdoor track at RMHS is available at anytime during the school day.  The Field House inside track is available daily 7:45 - 8:30am.

Blood Pressure & Immunizations Schedule

Reading Health Division’s Public Health Nurse is available for blood pressure checks, general wellness questions and Pneumonia and Tetanus vaccines. This is a great opportunity to get vaccinated, and keep an eye on your blood pressure and talk to the nurse about methods to keep it in a healthy range. Bring your insurance card or pay tetanus ($5) and pneumonia ($10).  
2nd Thurs: Tannerville 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
2nd Thurs: Cedar Glen 11:40 – 12:30 p.m.
3rd Thurs: Peter Sanborn 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
4th Thurs: Senior Center 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Nurse Advocate

Health issues have a major impact on the quality of life for senior citizens and the Nurse Advocate can help with these issues.  The Nurse Advocate can help seniors understand their medical problems, medications and treatments.  She will help them develop strategies for living safely and assist them in planning for their future needs. The Nurse Advocate is also available to advocate and help seniors navigate the complex healthcare system. If you or someone you know could benefit from this type of assistance, call 781-608-5271.

Podiatry Clinic 

Dr. Connolly provided appointments at the senior center once a month.  To make an appointment, call Dr. Connolly directly at 781-438-2525.  The cost is $30 for a senior center visit or $60 for a home visit. Transportation is available from noon - 1:45 p.m.  See calendar for schedule.

SHINE (Serving the Health Information Needs of Elders)  

Our SHINE Volunteer will be available the 4th Friday of every month to assist you with questions about health insurance options.  Insurance can be very confusing and no question is too silly.  Call 781-942-6659 to make an appointment or to request transportation.
