Grant Applications Due by October 15, 2011
Each year, the Reading Cultural Council awards a number of grants to individuals and organizations offering cultural programs that serve our community. These include school field trips, afterschool programs, concerts, festivals, lectures, theater, dance, music, and film. The projects take place in schools, community centers, libraries, elder care facilities, town halls, parks, and wherever the community comes together.  The Reading Cultural Council Program is part of the Local Cultural Council (LCC) program, a statewide cultural funding network authorized and funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Applications for the FY11-12 grant cycle are now available. You are encouraged to complete your application online to take advantage of active fields that test for eligibility and help you calculate your budget. Once completed online, you should print your application and submit by mail or by hand to the Reading Cultural Council at Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, MA 01867. Paper applications are also available at the public library, Town Hall, and at the offices of RCTV.

Open and complete the application for a standard grant at http://www.massculturalcouncil.org/applications/lccapp.doc

Open and complete the application for a field trip grant (formerly known as PASS) at http://www.massculturalcouncil.org/applications/passapp.doc

Postmark Deadline for submission is October 15, 2011.

Please note: grants from LCCs are reimbursement-based. (The applicant expends their own money, and if approved for a grant, then submits paperwork for reimbursement.)
