Reading Woods (former Addison Wesley) ~ 1 Jacob Way

Demolition is under way for Reading Woods click to view the demolition & site work schedule. On March 28th 2011, the CPDC voted to approve the project proposed by Pulte Homes of New England for Reading Woods at 0-1 Jacob Way. Reading Woods will have a total of 424 owner occupied residential units composed of; 16 townhouses, 208 senior independent housing units (55+) and 200 units in the Gateway Smart Growth District (Subdistrict C in the map below). All residential units will be owner occupied. Demolition and site work began in June 2011. The first phase of construction is expected to begin at the end of August. Phase I includes the clubhouse, the townhouses and building 9 in the smart growth district. The clubhouse will be the first building to be constructed. Affordable Housing Update:
Pulte Homes has begun the marketing process for the affordable units at Reading Woods. Applications for the Affordable Housing Lottery are now available. You may pick up an application an information packet at the Reading Public Library or by request at 781-944-0257. Please visit www.affordablehomesreading.com for more information.

Click here for the information flyer. The Informational Meeting will be held on May 10, 2012 at 7PM in the Senior Center - located at 49 Pleasant Street, Reading MA. The Lottery Drawing will be held on June 18, 2012 at 7PM at the Reading Public Library - located at 64 Middlesex Avenue, Reading MA.

Applications for the Lottery are due June 4, 2012 at the Reading Woods Sales Office, 55 Jacob Way, Reading MA.


Jacob Way and South Street Intersection:

The image above represents the roadway design of the Jacob Way and South Street intersection.  This was approved by the Board of Selectmen, CPDC and MassDot who maintains jurisdiction over the intersection.

Final Approved Plans:
The plans were slightly revised since the March 28th CPDC approval after further review and discussions with the Town. Click to view the cover letter summarizing the changes and view the modified plans approved by the CPDC on June 20th. sheets 1-12 , sheets 13-24 and sheets 25-37.
